I am a cynical optimist, that way I cover all of the bases. In spite of all the bullshit, I'm hopeful.
This site is designed for your entertainment. For the the past 35 years or so I've chronicled our past and present culture in song. For the story behind certain songs, check out my Song Blog. My first musical endeavor, from the 1970s/80, Ladies & Gentlemen, it's The Barking Geckos. My current band is Under The Kitchen. My most recent recording project: DaDaDa. Listen to some of my kids music. (It's actually music for immature adults.) See a few clips of the never-to-be-famous, Blind Bain. You might have heard one of my advertising compositions.  This sure Beats Working.
Here's a nice article about my "Thanks Mister Banks" record.  And here's another from the Daily Herald.

All songs copr. 1979-2015 Roger Bain.

Harry's of Arlington, 1 North Vail, Arlington Heights, Illinois, USA

Suburban Freakout!! Under The Kitchen will bash out two raucous sets of secular music for a hometown crowd of miscreants and upright citizens.
